Telegram Update Brings Features Like Payments 2.0, Mini Profiles, Scheduled Voice Chats, More
Recently Telegram has said in its blog that it will soon be updating its app with features like ‘Payments 2.0', scheduled voice chats and mini profiles for voice chats. Though the company did not disclose when it is booking to update the features, which users will have to manually download on Android devices.
For people who cannot wait for the latest Android version of the app, can go on Telegram official website and sideload the latest version. The iOS users will be able to do the same through the App Store.
One of the important features is the Payments 2.0 is the payment to merchants using credit card, for which the company states to take no commission neither storing of the users details.
There is a new Voice Chat feature that lets the hosts and admin schedules a voice chat, where the countdown will appear at the top, and once it stops then the chat needs to be started manually. The listeners can get a notification by the end of the timer, instead of waiting for the chat.
As we saw, Telegram recently quietly introduced two new Web apps — WebK and WebZ. Now officially announced by the company, the new apps have features like Dark Mode, animated stickers, chat folders, payments, and more. Alongside, the chat app has also improved the media viewer within the app. Telegram now lets users expand and zoom into media directly from the chat without having to open it in the media viewer. iOS users can now fast forward or rewind videos by clicking on + or - buttons to skip 15 seconds. Android users, on the other hand, can press and hold on either side of the screen to do the same. Alternatively, users can double tap to jump 10 seconds in either direction.
